For Poland ,the match in Seville at La Cartuja Stadium, is a match which is to determine the future of the national squad in the Euro 2020. The Spanish squad is placed 7th in the FIFA ranking and for the team, known as La Furia Roja, it is their seventh appearance at the European Championships.
Poland lost the opening match at EURO 2020 by a 2-1 margin to Slovakia, as a result , the Poles go into the challenging second group stage match against Spain on Saturday with no points .The situation is now even more complicated for Poland after Slovakia lost to Sweden in the Friday match. Sweden now lead Group E with four points - one more than Slovakia who face Spain in their final match.
Poles will be watching the Saturday Spain - Poland game , with fingers crossed. Special fan zones have been set up across towns and cities in the country. One such is prepared at the National Stadium in Warsaw ,with planned performances by artists, competitions and a vaccination point, for those willing to take the jab against COVID 19.
The final round of Group E games take place on Wednesday, when Slovakia face Spain and Sweden take on Poland.
