Poland still in the game!

Poland draws with Spain 1:1 in their second group game at the European Football Championships.

Robert Lewandowski, Poland's national team captain, equalled the score in the 54th minute of the match, held  in Seville at La Cartuja Stadium. Spain's Alvaro Morata scored the first goal in the 25th minute. 

For Poland it was a match which determined the future of the national squad in the Euro 2020. Poland  lost the opening match by a 2-1 margin to Slovakia, as  a result , the Poles went  into the challenging second group stage match against Spain with no points . 

The game with Spain opened dynamically and continued on the same vein, with the Polish team sparing no effort to outwin the opponent. Four yellow cards were presented to the Polish players, among them one to Robert Lewandowski, the Spaniards received only two.

The draw keeps Poland's qualification hopes still alive, though the team remains bottom of Group E, a point and a place behind Spain.

Poland is now facing the Swedes on June 23 at the stadium in Sankt Petersburg,in the last round of Group E games on Wednesday, on the same day Slovakia plays against Spain.
