A total of 215 Polish athletes, 112 men and 103 women, have been selected to compete in the Tokyo Games, which take place this year from July 23 to August 8 after being postponed from 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sailors, rowers and canoeists were among the first batch of Olympic athletes who boarded the Polish LOT flight to the Japanese capital on Thursday, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
