The boy named Miłoszek has a serious heart defect and is in need of surgery, Andrejczyk wrote in a post on Facebook this week.

“It is for him that I will put my Olympic silver up for an auction,” she said.

“It didn't take me long to decide; it was the first fundraiser I entered and I knew it was the right one,” she added.

The starting price is PLN 200,000 (around EUR 43,700) and the goal is to raise PLN 700,000 (EUR 153,000) for the boy's surgery, according to Andrejczyk's post.
