Women’s volleyball: Poles beat Czechs at European championships

Poland beat the Czech Republic 3-1 at the Women's European Volleyball Championship on Saturday, extending their winning streak to three games in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv.

The Polish team stunned Germany 3-1 in their opening match at the tournament on August 19 and then overpowered Greece 3-0 a day later.

Poland are top of their group B with nine points and will on Monday take on Spain in their penultimate group-stage match.

The 2021 Women's European Volleyball Championship is being held in Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia and Romania from August 18 to September 4.
