Swimming: Two medals for Poland in Abu Dhabi

Poland has won two medals, a gold and a bronze, at the 2021 World Short-Course Swimming Championships, which ended in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

Poland’s Katarzyna Wasick took the bronze in the women’s 50m freestyle on the last day of competition in the United Arab Emirates, finishing narrowly behind Sarah Sjöström of Sweden and Ranomi Kromowidjojo of the Netherlands.

Earlier in the day, Poland's Radosław Kawęcki claimed the gold in the men’s 200 metres backstroke.

The 2021 World Short-Course Swimming  Championships were held in Abu Dhabi from December 16 to December 21.

Last month, Poland won eight medals, two gold, two silver and four bronze, at the European Short-Course Swimming Championships in Kazan, Russia.
