The Polish team went through to the quarter-finals after beating Ukraine 94: 86 (24:21, 18:24, 27:22, 25:19) in their Round of 16 match in Berlin, Germany, on Sunday, news outlets reported.
Led by captain Mateusz Ponitka, Poland ran out winners in a tight contest to qualify for the last eight of the EuroBasket for the first time since 1997.
They now face Slovenia in Berlin on Wednesday, with a place in the semi-finals up for grabs.
The FIBA Men's EuroBasket 2022 is being co-hosted by the Czech Republic, Georgia, Italy and Germany.
The tournament runs until September 18.
