Champions League: Poland's Marciniak to referee Olympique Marseille vs. Tottenham

Poland’s Szymon Marciniak will referee Tuesday’s match between Olympique Marseille and Tottenham Hotspur in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, according to European football's governing body.

This will be the 41-year-old’s fourth match as a referee this Champions League season, Poland's sport.interia.pl website has reported.

Marciniak will be assisted by Polish linesmen Paweł Sokolnicki and Tomasz Listkiewicz at the Orange Velodrome Stadium in Marseille, southern France, on Tuesday night.

The Pole previously officiated Atletico's 2-1 home win over 10-man Porto, Barcelona's 3-3 draw with Inter Milan, and Dinamo Zagreb's 0-4 loss against Milan.

Marciniak is among 36 referees from various countries who have been selected to officiate during this year’s football World Cup in Qatar.
