Up next for Hurkacz in Paris is Norway's Holger Rune.
Hurkacz is playing for his sixth career singles title in Paris, while also seeking to secure a berth in the season-ending ATP Finals next month.
The Pole in late October reached the quarterfinals of the Vienna Open tournament in Austria, where he lost 4-6, 7-6, 6-7 to Croatia's Borna Ćorić.
The 2022 Paris Masters indoor hard-court tournament runs until Sunday.
