Świątek made the remark after beating Olympic champion and world No. 12 Belinda Bencic 6-3, 7-6 in Brisbane on Monday, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
By winning the match, the world No. 1 gave Poland a 1-0 lead in their United Cup Group B tie against Switzerland.
Świątek said afterwards: "I'm a perfectionist, but I'm really happy with my performance today because Belinda is playing really fast, taking the ball really early, so it's a totally different rhythm.”
“On this fast surface it's really, really hard," she added.
On Saturday, Świątek defeated Yulia Putintseva 6-1, 6-3, helping Poland to a 4-1 victory over Kazakhstan.
Afterwards she told reporters she was “pretty happy” with how she had played.
Poland looking to advance in United Cup
Meanwhile, Poland now need to beat Switzerland to go through to the next stage of the United Cup, the so-called City Final.
Their potential opponents are Italy, Brazil and Norway, the PAP news agency reported.
Later on Monday, Poland’s Daniel Michalski lost 3-6, 2-6 to Marc-Andrea Huesler and Switzerland drew level.
With the Poland vs. Switzerland clash tied at 1-1, action continues on Tuesday.
Poland’s world No. 10 Hubert Hurkacz is set to face acclaimed veteran Stan Wawrinka, while world No. 48 Magda Linette will play Jil Teichmann.
Finally, in the mixed-singles match, Świątek and Hurkacz will fight it out with Bencic and Wawrinka, organisers said.
The United Cup is a new mixed-teams event featuring 18 countries, who battle it out in the Australian cities of Brisbane, Perth and Sydney, the WTA said.
