The 26-year-old on Saturday outperformed a field of top competitors in the International Ski Federation’s (FIS) snowboarding World Cup parallel giant slalom competition at the Swiss resort of Scuol.

In the final, Kwiatkowski defeated Mirko Felicetti of Italy, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.

Austria's Andreas Prommegger finished third.

The Pole competed in Alpine snowboarding in last winter’s Olympics in Beijing, where he finished seventh overall.

In the 2021 world championships, Kwiatkowski placed seventh in the slalom and 11th in the giant.
