The 30-year-old Pole is also number 10 on the leaderboard for the season-ending eight-player WTA Finals event, which is scheduled to take place in Shenzhen, China in late October.

Meanwhile, Poland's Iga Świątek remains world No. 1, with 9,975 points, ahead of Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, with 6,740 points, and American Jessica Pegula, with 5,605.

Świątek, who has topped the world rankings since April last year, on Saturday failed to defend her Indian Wells title, after losing 2-6 2-6 to Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina in the semifinals.

Rybakina, who went on to win the Indian Wells, moved up from 10th to seventh place in the new WTA rankings, which were released on Monday.

Poland's Magdalena Fręch moved up one notch to 105th place.
