World champions Argentina are at the top of the FIFA rankings, followed by World Cup runners-up France.

Brazil are at No. 3, ahead of England in fourth spot.

Poland this month lost 2-3 to Moldova in their third Euro 2024 qualifier in Chișinău, leaving fans jittery about the national football team's chances of qualifying for the European tournament next year.

The Polish team, captained by star striker Robert Lewandowski, on March 24 opened its Euro 2024 qualifying campaign with a 1-3 defeat against the Czech Republic. The Poles then beat Albania 1-0 at home in their second qualifier on March 27.

After three rounds of fixtures, Poland are fourth in their qualifying Group E, which also includes the Faroe Islands.

The Poles, coached by Portuguese manager Fernando Santos, take on the Faroe Islands at home in their next qualifier on September 7.

Poland reached the last 16 of last year's World Cup in Qatar before being eliminated by eventual runners-up France.

Poland's lowest place in the world rankings was 78th, in 2013.
