The 26-year-old Pole on Thursday saw off the 164th-ranked British wild card 6-4, 6-4, 7-6 in the second round of the men's singles at the grass-court Grand Slam tournament.
Hurkacz, who is ranked world No. 18 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), will next face the winner of a match between Italy's Lorenzo Musetti and Spain's Jaume Munar.
The Polish player, who is coached by American Craig Boynton, in February earned his sixth career singles title by winning the Marseille Open indoor hard-court tournament in France.
Meanwhile, Poland’s Iga Świątek has progressed to the third round of the women's singles at Wimbledon with a 6-2, 6-0 win on Wednesday over Spain's Sara Sorribes Tormo.
Świątek, who is ranked world No. 1 by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), will take on Croatia's Petra Martić for a place in the last 16.
