The Pole on Monday beat Jessica Pegula of the United States 6-1, 6-0 in 59 minutes to win the eight-player event in Cancun, Mexico and reclaim her world No. 1 ranking in women's tennis.
The Polish star, coached by countryman Tomasz Wiktorowski, now leads the WTA rankings with 9,295 points, ahead of Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, with 9,050 points, and American Coco Gauff, with 6,580 points.
The second-highest ranked Polish female player, Magda Linette, moved down one spot to No. 24 in the latest WTA rankings.
Meanwhile, countrywoman Magdalena Fręch moved up from 79th to 63rd place in the new world rankings, which were released on Tuesday.
