Poland's Olympic starting kits had their premiere on Thursday in Paris - during a special show by Adidas. This company is responsible for the sporting sets of the Polish national team - and it's also dressing the Olympic athletes from Great Britain, Australia, Germany, Hungary, Ethiopia, Cuba, Turkey and the host country: France.
On Friday at the event held by the Polish Olympic Center in Warsaw, Adidas outfits were presented again - but a business collection was also unveiled, which Poland's Olympians will sport eg. during the opening ceremony in Paris. The latter was designed by a Polish indie fashion brand BIZUU.
"In 2024, the Polish Olympic Team will celebrate its 100th anniversary - and it will do it in Paris, which is undeniably the capital of world fashion (although Italy's Milan probably begs to differ - note ed.). The BIZUU brand is a combination of elegance, sophisticated designs, an extraordinary sense of style and the use of high-quality fabrics" - said the Polish Olympic Committee president, Radosław Piesiewicz, speaking at the event.
The 'business line' garments will be complemented with jewelry created by yet another local successful indie brand, Lilou - created by Poland's Magdalena Mousson. As it was announced during the conference - each Polish Olympian will receive not only clothes and accessories, but also a special lucky charm to bring them fortune during the most important event of the quadrennial. The exact form of these talismans was not announced yet, though.
