Tennis: Poland’s Hurkacz through to quarterfinals in Halle

Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz has moved into the quarterfinals of the Halle Open grass-court tennis tournament in Germany, with a win over James Duckworth of Australia.

The fifth-seeded Pole saw off the Australian qualifier 7-6, 6-4 in the second round of the men's singles on Thursday.

The Polish world No. 9 will now face American Marcos Giron for a place in the last four.
