In an all-Polish final in the Czech capital, Linette overpowered sixth-seeded countrywoman Magdalena Fręch in straight sets 6-2, 6-1, demonstrating strong form ahead of the Olympic tennis competition in Paris.

Linette, who is ranked world No. 48 by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), had reached the Prague Open final after defeating the Czech Republic's top-seeded Linda Nosková 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 in the semifinals on Friday.

Fręch, meanwhile, had booked her place in the championship match, her maiden WTA singles final, with a win on Friday over home hopeful Laura Samson.

Linette and Fręch will now both travel to Paris to compete in the Olympic tennis tournament.

Linette will play Russian Mirra Andreeva in the first round of the women's singles in Paris on Sunday, while Fręch will take on Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova.

Earlier in the Olympic competition, Poland's world No. 1 Iga Świątek will face off against Romania's Irina-Camelia Begu for a place in the second round.
