Sport climbing: Poland's Mirosław breaks women's world speed record in Paris

Poland's Aleksandra Mirosław broke the women's world record for speed climbing by 0.03 seconds at the Paris Olympics on Monday.

The 30-year-old Pole reached the top of a 15-metre wall in 6.21 seconds to win an Olympic qualifying round.

She improved on her previous world record of 6.24 seconds that she set in Rome last September.

Mirosław finished fourth in the women's climbing competition at the Tokyo Games in 2021, narrowly missing out on an Olympic medal.
