Although Paszek earned these medals alongside her teammates, she has undoubtedly reached the pinnacle of Olympic achievement and fulfilled her dreams of winning medals at the highest level of competition.

Paszek’s double Olympic medal success

Originally from Bielsko-Biała in southern Poland, she has represented Germany since 2021 and secured the Olympic bronze with Julie Marie Hake in the K2 500m event.

The German pair finished with the exact same time as the Hungarian team, Noemi Pupp and Sara Fojt, who also crossed the finish line in 1:39.46. As a result, two sets of bronze medals were awarded.

Hungarian athletes Tamara Csipec and Alida Dora Gazso took second place, while New Zealanders Lisa Carrington and Alicia Hoskin won the gold in the women’s K4 500m sprint, after their victory yesterday.

From Polish champion to German Olympic medalist

Since starting to represent Germany, Paszek has achieved titles such as World and European silver medalist and was named Athlete of the Year in Lower Saxony in 2023 – according to polsatnews.pl.

Her greatest achievement before this was winning the European Championship in Belgrade in 2018 while still representing Poland. She can now add two Olympic medals to her accomplishments.
