A triumphant day for Polish kayakers: two world titles and a silver

Polish kayakers had an outstanding day at the World Championships, securing two gold medals and one silver.

Competing in non-Olympic events, kayakers Oleksii Koliadych and Viktor Glazunov, along with Jakub Stepun, showcased exceptional performances that brought glory to their nation.

Koliadych claimed gold in the C1 200 m event, narrowly defeating Spain's Pablo Grana by 0.42 seconds. The bronze went to Georgia's Zaza Nadiradze. Meanwhile, Glazunov dominated the C1 5000 m event, finishing nearly 16 seconds ahead of Moldovan Serghei Tarnovschi, with Hungary's Adolf Balazs taking third.

Adding to the medal haul, Jakub Stepun earned silver in the K1 200 m event. Stepun's performance was just shy of the gold, finishing 0.07 seconds behind Portugal's Messias Baptista. Spain's Carlos Garrote took bronze in this fiercely contested race.
