US Open: Three Poles set for first-round matches

Three Polish tennis players are set to play their first-round matches at the US Open on Monday.

Magdalena Fręch and Maks Kaśnikowski are expected to take the court around 7:00 PM Polish time, with Magda Linette following at approximately 10:00 PM. Iga Świątek and Hubert Hurkacz will play their opening matches on Tuesday.

Fręch (WTA 43) is set to compete against Belgium's Greet Minnen (WTA 70), while 21-year-old Kaśnikowski (ATP 193), who has qualified for his first Grand Slam, will challenge Spain's Pedro Martinez (ATP 43).

After Kaśnikowski's match, Linette (WTA 42) will face 16-year-old American Iva Jovic (WTA 389), who was granted a wildcard entry by the tournament organizers.

Monday's schedule also features defending champion Coco Gauff (No. 3) and Novak Djokovic (No. 2). Gauff will play against France's Varvara Gracheva, while Djokovic will take on Moldova's Radu Albot in their opening matches.
