"In response to the tragic events that have occurred in our country in recent days, the Human Gesture Foundation is providing financial support of a quarter of a million zlotys (250,000 PLN, approximately 57,500 EUR) to assist in addressing the aftermath of the flood.

Every disaster has its tragic consequences, but every small gesture has great power. Together, we can support the rebuilding efforts and restore hope to those who have suffered such significant losses…" – the information was shared via social media.

Earlier, Polish Football Association (PZPN) President Cezary Kulesza announced a donation of 200,000 PLN for relief efforts and encouraged regional associations and clubs to get involved in the aid campaign.

The Polish Humanitarian Action has also joined the charitable fundraising for flood victims.

Flood in Poland: State of natural disaster expanded

Although the meteorological and hydrological situation in Poland has improved, emergency levels are still being reported on several dozen rivers.

Problems persist in the southwestern part of the country. The flood wave is reaching Wrocław, and efforts to reinforce the flood defenses in Nysa are ongoing.

Prime Minister Tusk has decided to expand the state of natural disaster to additional counties and has announced a plan to rebuild flood-affected areas, which will be implemented in collaboration with local authorities.
