The soloists are Olesya Bubela (soprano), Tetyana Vakhnovska (mezzo-soprano), Andrii Voziian (tenor), and Viktor Yankovskyi (baritone).

The programme of the concert, under the baton of Polish conductor Sebastian Perłowski, features Mass in F major by Prince Józef Michał Ksawery Poniatowski.

Born in Rome in 1816, Poniatowski was a nephew of the last king of Poland, Stanisław August Poniatowski. He studied music in Florence. His compositional output includes numerous operas for Italian and French theatres. He was also an opera singer.

Written in 1867, Mass in F major is Poniatowski’s only religious work. It was believed to have been lost until its discovery at the British Museum over a decade ago, an event that led to the work’s first performance at Westminster Cathedral in 2015.

Poniatowski died in England in 1873. He is buried in Chislehurst, Kent.
