On Monday 20th February in Wrocław's cinema "Nowe Horizonty", globetrotting meditation teacher Swamiji Jyothirmayah will be leading an event called "Chakra Meditation".

Born in 1972 in Kerala, India, Swamiji Jyothirmayah is a Catholic Christian. Life in multicultural India impressed on him that techniques of Yoga and Meditation could be useful for people of all traditions to handle the "challenges of modern living."

In an interview for the German magazine Yoga Aktuell, he recounts the dramatic shift his own lifestyle underwent with a particular challenge of modern living - COVID. Before that he had been visiting around 25 countries per year teaching live sessions, then suddenly all his courses were online.

Today courses are mostly offline again, and Wrocław inhabitants will have the chance to experience meditation with him for themselves. We spoke to Lucyna Gembal-Skrobotowicz, a Wrocław-based architect, meditation teacher and one of the local organisers.

Lucyna Gembal-Skrobotowicz: "I have been meditating myself for 26 years. The first program I took swept me off my feet - as well as meditation, there were breathing techniques and Yoga. I noticed the benefits in many areas of my life: relationships, health, at work. I became more creative and dynamic - which also impacted my financial situation!"

Radio Poland: "Is that why the subtitle of the event is "energy and abundance"?"

LB-S: "Precisely. Of course problems continue to arise in life, but being able to relax quickly always helps."
