A Letter from Poland - "Poland the brave"

This week's Letter begins a series related to cultural manifestations of emotion. This time we focus on bravery - the virtue that enables us to overcome the emotion of fear. Many times in Polish history Poland has faced very difficult odds; perhaps this is why bravery is so highly valued.
