Chopin recitals to be launched at Warsaw’s Łazienki Park

French pianist Phillippe Giusiano is expected to launch the 64th season of annual recitals of Chopin’s music on Sunday at the foot of the composer’s monument in Warsaw’s Royal Łazienki Park.

Giusiano is to start playing at noon, followed by another recital by Polish pianist Jakub Kuszlik scheduled at 4pm.

This season of Chopin’s recitals is to include internationally acclaimed pianists from 10 countries, including Kevin Kenner, Charles Richard-Hamelin, and Martin Garcia Garcia.

The admission to the events is free, and they are being held every Sunday at noon and at 4 pm until September 24.

The recitals are among the oldest annual cultural events in Warsaw, it was launched in 1959.
