In a letter addressed to the participants of the event, Polish lower-house Speaker Elżbieta Witek wrote, “You are building a good name for Poland abroad, as a country of enterprising and ambitious people.”

She praised the achievements of the Polish global diaspora and emphasized its importance in shaping foreign policy and promoting Polish culture.

She expressed "pride in the bond between the motherland and Poles living abroad," emphasized the support provided to compatriots within both diplomatic and parliamentary dialogue, and also noted that building potential for Polish communities abroad is "associated with special attention to young people."

Witek also said that this year’s Congress takes on special significance as it takes place "in a difficult situation for Ukraine, Poland, the region, Europe and the entire world."

“Poles know what true love for their homeland is, how to nurture it, how to fight for it, both in their country and beyond its borders," Witek said in her message.

"Our nation knows the price of freedom, knows how to support those who are brutally deprived of it," she added.
