Every July blues is king in Suwałki, northeastern Poland, on the strength of the city's revered music event.
Located just 30 kilometers from the Lithuanian border, the city last weekend saw over 200 musicians line up to open the 16th edition of the Suwałki Blues Festival, which featured a host of acts from across Poland and Europe, in addition to performers from the United States and Australia.
The contingent of Polish acts this year included music industry veterans such as Dżem, Zbigniew Hołdys and Leszek Cichoński with American blues legend Walter Trout topping the bill.
