The event, billed as the Congress of Polish-Ukrainian Solidarity, marks the culmination of a series of Polish-Ukrainian meetings under the banner “Common Causes.”

The Arnold Szyfman Polish Theater, alongside Ośrodek Karta, the Ukrainian Home, the Association of Ukrainians in Poland, and the Foundation for Education for Democracy, are the organizers.

Their aim is to reflect upon the experiences of Polish-Ukrainian cooperation across various societal spheres including culture, science, education, media, and humanitarian efforts.

The ultimate objective is that insights thus garnered will become the bedrock of genuine partnership and help foster closer ties between the two nations.

The event will be split into two parts. The first part, not open to the general public, will involve thematic discussions at separate tables. The second part will be hosted on the theater's chamber stage, where participants from the first session will share conclusions drawn from their earlier discussions.

Together, they will endeavor to present recommendations not only to various communities cooperating with Ukrainian partners but also to authorities.

A report from a survey aimed at numerous entities engaged in Polish-Ukrainian cooperation will be presented.

Among the participants will be Polish and Ukrainian intellectuals, social activists, researchers of Ukrainian history and culture, and specialists in Polish-Ukrainian relations.

The Congress of Polish-Ukrainian Solidarity is an effort to promote reflection on the experience of Polish-Ukrainian collaboration in areas such as culture, science and education, as well as media and assistance activities addressed to various groups and communities.

The event is set to conclude with a concert by the band Dagadana, an example of the fruits of Polish-Ukrainian collaboration. For over 15 years, the band members have skillfully blended elements of Polish and Ukrainian culture through jazz, electronics and world music.

The Congress of Polish-Ukrainian Solidarity comes at a time when international collaborations and solidarities are ever pertinent, the organizers said, promising to offer not only a space for reflective discussion and exchange of ideas between Poland and Ukraine but also a spectacular cultural showcase through Dagadana's performance.

The event will be held on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and admission is free, with prior registration here.
