Entitled Frida Kahlo: The Life of an Icon, the exhibition explores the life and work of the acclaimed Mexican artist and feminist icon with the help of technology, taking visitors on a journey of her life through photographs, videos, digital images, collector’s items and music.
Mexico's ambassador to Poland, Juan Sandoval Mendiolea, told Radio Poland's Danuta Isler that Kahlo's messages are universal.
"They should be applied to every society in every country in the world because we are talking about human rights and we are talking about universality," he said. "The values that Frida represents are universal. That's why she is so popular."
The exhibition came to Poland after a successful run in over 20 cities worldwide. It was brought to Warsaw by the Art Box Experience art center in collaboration with Layers of Reality, a Barcelona-based company specializing in creating immersive content.
