The Jazz Po Polsku Foundation, the organiser of the event, is a Warsaw-based NGO and a music label started by Jakub Krzeszowski. It helps promote Polish jazz music worldwide.

Since 2012, Jazz Po Polsku has organised more than 300 events abroad featuring prominent members of Poland's jazz scene.

So far, the foundation was mostly focused on Asia, but it is now set to launch its new European project.

The name of the Visegrad Jazz Exchange event refers to the Visegrad Group (V4), a regional alliance of Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.

Radio Poland's Marcin Matuszewski has the story.
