The display presented in Łódź tells the stories of 40 students killed in the war. Their biographies were provided to the organizers of the event by their families.

The exhibition was prepared jointly by the Fine Arts Academy and the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of the University of Łódź, on the initiative of Ukrainian member of faculty Yaryna Khamara and student Artem Luhovya.

According to the exhibition’s publicity materials, the event aims to pay tribute to the courage and determination of students whose lives were taken by the war. It also serves as a reminder that "the full-scale war still goes on, and that everyday life in Ukraine is still associated with loss, pain, and uncertainty."

The "Unissued Diplomas" exhibition runs until June 21.
