The eight-episode crime drama is set in 1936, when the capital of the Lower Silesia region was known as Breslau, which is also the working title of this international production.

From June 23 to July 7, filmmakers will be shooting scenes at various locations around the city.

Several streets will be closed during the filming, and buildings may display flags with swastikas, while period vehicles resembling those from pre-World War II will appear on the roads.

The main character of the crime series "Breslau 1936" is commissioner Franz Podolsky, who tries to solve a brutal murder case just before the upcoming Olympic Games.

The series is directed by Leszek Dawid ("You Are God," "Ki") and produced by the Wrocław-based ATM Grupa. The script was written by Bartosz Janiszewski and Magdalena Żakowska.

The main cast includes Tomasz Schuchardt ("You Are God," "The Christening"), Agata Kulesza ("Rose," "Ida"), and Sandra Drzymalska ("EO," "Filip").

The project is being carried out with the support of the Polish Film Institute and funding from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
