First Prize went to Canada’s Emad Zolfaghari, while Andy Park from the United States claimed third prize.
Founded in 1979, the competition is named after Scottish-born violist and violinist William Primrose (1903-1982). One of the most renowned string instrument competitions in the world, it was entered this year by 21 violists from 12 countries.
Wojdalska, 25, received her early musical training in Warsaw. She then studied at the Royal College of Music in London and in Zurich, Switzerland.
Last year, she received her master's soloist degree at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste and is continuing her education in Switzerland.
A prizewinner of numerous competitions in Poland and abroad, Wojdalska has performed at prestigious international venues such as Musikverein in Vienna, Wigmore Hall in London and Tonhalle in Zurich.
