An international jury of critics and experts named Patrzałek as the winner in the Music Video of the Year category, praising his performance of Habanera, a popular aria from Bizet’s opera Carmen.

Patrzałek, 24, rose to prominence in 2015 after winning Poland’s talent show "Must Be The Music."

His career as a percussive fingerstyle guitarist, composer and producer developed in a spectacular manner. His videos were posted by publishers such as Rolling Stone, Classic FM, Guitar World and Billboard.

Recent highlights of his career include an exclusive recording contract with Sony Masterworks and appearances as a special guest at a series of concerts at London’s Royal Albert Hall as part of the Classical Spectacular show.

The Opus Klassik awards ceremony will take place in Berlin’s Konzerthaus on October 13.

Previous Opus Klassik winners include Polish singers Piotr Beczała (tenor) and Jakub Józef Orliński (countertenor).
