In commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the final part of Ludwig van Beethoven's Ninth Symphony this year, the South Korean duo will present a specially arranged version of the piece for two pianos.

Hyuk, the older Lee brother, is well-known to the Polish audience as a finalist in the 2021 International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition.

In the following year, he claimed the first prize at the esteemed Marguerite Long and Jacques Thibaud competition in Paris.

He will arrive at the Warsaw concert directly from his debut recital at the "French Proms," the Radio France Festival in Montpellier, as confirmed by the festival's artistic director, Łukasz Strusiński.

The media patron of the festival, which will run until July 27, is Polish Radio Program 2.

The concert by the Hyuk and Hyo Lee Piano Duo will begin at 7:00 PM in the courtyard of the Royal Castle in Warsaw on July 24, 2024.
