Over the five-day festival, from August 7 to 11, 2024, New York City cinemas will be filled with Polish productions.

U.S. audiences will have the opportunity to watch films like Naked Eye by Helena Oborska and the award-winning Scarborn by Paweł Maślona, which tells the story of General Tadeusz ‘Kos’ Kościuszko returning to Poland, planning to ignite an uprising against the Russians by mobilizing the Polish gentry and peasants.

As Agata Drogowska, the curator of the festival's Polish section, explained in a comment to the Polish state news agency PAP, Polish films have been particularly popular for the past four years, ever since Polish Days began at the Greenpoint Film Festival. These films attract significant interest, especially on weekends, when large crowds of the Polish diaspora gather to watch them.

Paweł Wyszomirski, director of the short film The Green Ink, has announced his arrival in New York. American audiences will also have the opportunity to meet Victor Witkowski, who created the documentary In My Words, as well as the directors of Two Shores, Matt Subieta and Ewa Rodart.

Polish films will be screened at two locations: Film Noir Cinema, an independent theater in Greenpoint, New York, specializing in noir classics, horror films, and rare movies, and Boiler–Elm Foundation, an interdisciplinary art space in Brooklyn that supports contemporary artists through exhibitions, residencies, and educational programs.
