The festival will feature both premieres and performances by well-known artists, with activities ranging from large concerts and chamber recitals to theater performances, literary meetings, film screenings, lectures, workshops, and guided walks.
While the festival officially opens on Sunday with a cantorial concert at the Kwadrat Theater, a range of activities will start beforehand. The opening concert will feature New York cantor Yaakov "Yanky" Lemmer, a festival favorite, performing with Menachem Bristowski and the Oliwier Andruszczenko band, according to Hanna Pałuba from the Shalom Foundation, which organizes the event.
The festival will conclude on September 1 with a grand concert at the Teatr Wielki - Polish National Opera. The final performance will showcase the internationally acclaimed Spanish violinist and composer of Armenian descent, Ara Malikian. Pałuba noted that this is Malikian’s second appearance at the festival, describing his performances as vibrant shows full of dance, costumes, colors, and effects.
Artists from various countries, including Austria, Germany, Serbia, Israel, the United States, Sweden, and Italy, will participate in the festival. Among the featured performers are Italian saxophonist Gianluca Lusi, Israeli artist Liraz with Iranian roots, Polish stage icon Sława Przybylska, acclaimed Polish pianist Adam Makowicz, and Polish-Israeli artist Olga Avigail Mieleszczuk along with the Tango Attack band.
Traditional festival events will also take place, such as a Sabbath dinner and a klezmer night at Grzybowski Square, with a performance by the KROKE band.
