The event runs until Sunday and includes both Polish and international galleries.

"This year, we have primarily Warsaw-based galleries participating, but also ones from other cities," Joanna Witek-Lipka, director of the Warsaw Gallery Weekend, said. These include Warsaw's Raster, the Foksal Gallery Foundation, and the Szydłowski Gallery, as well as newcomers like Widna and Molski from Poznań.

She noted that since last year, the event has also welcomed international galleries, with this year's participants including Kim? from Riga and Longtermhandstand & Vunu showcasing Hungarian art.

Witek-Lipka emphasized that what began as a spontaneous initiative by a few private galleries has evolved into a city-wide festival. "At one point, openings are happening simultaneously across dozens of galleries throughout the city," she said. "It's an urban event that encourages walking and discovering what's current in contemporary art. You can get lost in the galleries and discover something new."

Admission to all exhibitions and events is free. A list of participating galleries can be found on the official website.
