The festival focuses on all aspects of freedom, its various dimensions and guises.
The event opened with a discussion with two fathers one from Palestine the other from Israel, both have lost their children in the Israeli Palestine conflict.
Rami Elhanan and Bassam Aramin have been nomintaed to the Nobel Peace Prize for thier work in the "Parents Circle" organisation uniting parents who had lost their children in the Israeli Palestine war.
All About Freedom Festival presents feature and documentary films from all over the world devoted to freedom, conflicts and their aftermaths but also meetings with artists and directors as well as panel discussions and workshops.
Among the guests is Volker Schlondorff German film director, screenwriter and producer,who has won an Oscar as well as the Palme d'Or at the 1979 Cannes Film Festival for The Tin Drum (1979), the film version of the novel by Nobel Prize-winning author Günter Grass.
