Polish state TV changes venue for New Year's Eve festivities

Polish state television TVP has announced plans to welcome 2025 with a massive open-air event in the southern city of Chorzów, marking a new venue for the broadcaster's annual celebrations.

TVP said that its New Year's Eve celebration at the Silesian Stadium would feature a long lineup of domestic and international performers.

The broadcaster added that the new venue, chosen over the southern mountain resort of Zakopane, would offer "unforgettable emotions and impressions" for revellers as they ring in the new year.

The Silesian Stadium is a prime venue for major sports and cultural events, including football matches, track-and-field competitions and music concerts.
