Leading Korean jazz artists tour Poland

Established in 2004, Republic of Korea's annual Jarasum Jazz Festival might just as well be the biggest festival of its kind in Asia - and definitely is among the biggest jazz events worldwide. Since 2012, numerous leading Polish jazz artists have performed on its stages - and now the festival returns the favour by bringing some top Korean acts from this domain to Poland.

Radio Poland's Marcin Matuszewski attended the Warsaw concert of Korea's Coloris Trio on Wednesday - and filed in this audio report, available in our player (red button, above and on the left).

Marcin Matuszewski interviewed the Coloris Trio leader - Korean jazz drummer Soojin Suh, Jarasum Jazz Festival's Senior Program Manager Joonsuh Park, and Ewa Chwilczyńska - the manager of Adam Mickiewicz Institute's "Korea Program". The 2024 Polish tour of Korea's jazz bands Coloris Trio and Bando concludes on Friday night in Poznań, with a joint concert at Centrum Kultury Zamek.
