"Fatherland," co-produced with Edward Berger, director of All Quiet on the Western Front and The Conclave, has received a €200,000 grant from the German Ministry of Culture.
Filming will begin in summer 2025. The movie will focus on dramatic events in the life of Thomas Mann, including his escape from Nazi Germany, based on the book The Magician by Colm Tóibín.
Meanwhile, starting March 9, MUSE, the new short film by Paweł Pawlikowski, will be available for exclusive streaming. This modern myth, filmed in striking black and white, stars Małgosia Bela, a renowned Polish model and actress (who is also Pawlikowski’s wife), and Marcin Masecki, a celebrated Polish jazz pianist and composer.
Paweł Pawlikowski is a Polish filmmaker, screenwriter, and producer. He won an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film with "Ida", marking the first-ever Oscar for a Polish full-length film.
Additionally, he received the Best Director award at the Cannes Film Festival for "Cold War". Known for his distinctive cinematic style, Pawlikowski has earned widespread international recognition for his work.
