Reno’s literary debut is shaping up to be a publishing hit of the season.
The novel tells a thrilling story about a woman caught in a web of espionage, intertwined with a complex international spy game.
Speaking to Polish broadcaster TVN on the morning show Dzień Dobry TVN, Reno said that a French production company has acquired the rights to adapt the book into an eight-episode television series.
Reno is known for his roles in international hits such as Léon: The Professional, The Da Vinci Code and Ronin.
Until now, he has been best known for his acting career, making his move into writing a notable new chapter.
The actor has a special connection to Poland. He has been married three times, and two of his wives - Natalie Dyszkiewicz and later Zofia Borucka - are Polish.

The Polish premiere of Reno’s book Emma took place on May 7.
The story follows the titular character, who leads a peaceful life in a seaside town in France until she becomes entangled in an international diplomatic conspiracy that will change her life forever.
