Polish Radio’s Andrzej Sułek joins EBU’s Classical Music Group

Music critic and broadcaster Andrzej Sułek of Polish Radio 2, the Polish public broadcaster's arts-and-music channel, has joined the Classical Music Group of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).

He was elected to the body for a two-year term at the 2026 Classical Music Plenary, the annual meeting point for radio delegates from classical music channels across the EBU public radio network, which was hosted by the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, southern Poland.

Born in 1966, Sułek graduated in piano performance from the Music Academy in Warsaw. He also studied public diplomacy and media management. In addition to his long-standing career at Polish Radio 2, he served as the director of the National Chopin Institute in Warsaw and the Arthur Rubinstein Philharmonic Orchestra in the city of Łódź.

The EBU Classical Music Group’s work aims to align classical music activity with member organizations’ needs and wishes in various areas, showcase the value of the broad spectrum of classical music produced and broadcast by EBU radio organizations, and enhance current activities while proposing and developing joint projects and knowledge sharing opportunities.

The Classical Music Group supervises the curation of the Euroradio Package, which consists of the popular Summer Festivals as well as the Euroradio Season which offers such content as live broadcasts of Metropolitan Opera productions and the Christmas Music Day.
