He studied violin and viola at the Academy of Music in Kraków, southern Poland, graduating with honours, and also pursued an education at the Haute École de Musique in Lausanne, Switzerland.

In 2024, he earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Kraków academy.

Snakowski is a laureate of several international solo and chamber music competitions, including the International Johannes Brahms Competition in Austria, which he won in 2014.
