The New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble is a renowned Big-Apple-based combo, and one of the genre's true bigwigs. Since 1994 they have been creatively combining the infectious rhythms of ska with the improvisational brilliance of jazz - and the status of the group is best relayed by the fact that it's them who established "ska-jazz" as a new musical genre in the mid-1990s.

Founded and led by saxophonist Rock Steady Freddie, the New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble has released over a dozen albums and has performed at virtually every major festival around the world. And on Sunday, June 28th, this celebrated US ensemble will play its only Polish concert of the year - performing at the BARdzo Bardzo club in Warsaw.

Furthermore, Warsaw's ska-jazz pride The Bartenders will celebrate the band's 20th anniversary at the same event - and summed up, this double-tap quite likely makes this night the genre's most important event of 2026 in Poland.
