In an interview with Radio Poland, Aleksander Laskowski, press spokesman for the National Chopin Institute, the event’s organizer, says the entrants include 16 pianists from Poland, alongside "the most numerous Chinese group," and talented young performers from South Korea, Japan, Russia, Italy, and the United States.
"All in all, this is a very representative group of very talented young pianists ready to compete for the best player of their generation,” Laskowski said.
