This year marks 31 years since Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia entered into an agreement to form the regional cooperation platform in 1991.

Tuesday marked International Visegrad Day to commemorate the establishment of the Visegrad Group (V4), which brings together the four former communist nations.

The day is observed annually as an initiative by the International Visegrad Fund, the financial arm of the Visegrad Group, and public media broadcasters in the four member states.

To mark International Visegrad Day, media outlets in the four countries broadcast content highlighting regional ties and team-ups in various areas.

International Visegrad Day was first celebrated on February 15, 2016 to mark the 25th anniversary of the group.
